FIRST CLASS

FIRST CLASS: A Theatrical Journey Through Waiting FIRST CLASS is not just a play—it’s an immersive experience that delves into the universal state of waiting. Set in an airport, the production transcends time and place, focusing instead on the emotional and spiritual turmoil of three individuals awaiting salvation. Nationality and language fade into the background as body language and raw emotion take center stage, reflecting the pressure of waiting for the unknown. Inspired by Antonin Artaud’s Cruelty Theater, the play challenges traditional scripts, relying on improvisation and physicality to explore themes of repression, silence, and the human desire for liberation. Through workshops on the body and cleansing, the performers create a dynamic, collaborative performance that invites the audience to reflect on their own experiences of waiting and confrontation.
