Every Sunday, starting January 2020, Mad’Art Space, Carthage
As part of the Young European Theatre Project, which aimed to create a multilingual theater envisioned by a cohesive community of artists from diverse cultures and languages, a Multilingual Theater workshop was held for adolescents aged 14 to 16.
This workshop took place on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Ciné Théâtre Le Rio in Tunis and was facilitated by the two Greek artists Eva Oikonomou-Vamvaka and Venia Stamatiadi.
The project was supported by Creative Europe, Tunisia Espace des Arts, the National University of Ireland, and Art Fraction.
For the first time in Tunisia, Capoeira Angola workshops were held every Sunday at the Mad’Art Space in Carthage, led by Benjamin Abras, a renowned Brazilian professor and artist.
These workshops, designed for amateurs, offered a unique experience blending martial arts, music, and song, bringing a fresh dynamic to Tunisia’s cultural scene with the rich heritage of Brazilian Capoeira.
Organized in collaboration with the Mad’Art cultural center, these courses, exclusively for adults, provided an opportunity to explore this multidisciplinary art and foster cultural exchange.
